I've been watching a lot of classic movies lately, so I figured I'd make a thread reccommending you guys some movies!
Feel free to post your own reccomendations.
Expect most of my reccomendations to be comedy since that's the majority of what I watch. ;D
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
One of the god-damn funniest movies ever.
It's damn comedic genious.
I really can't explain how incredible this movie is.
It's the story of King arthur and his Knights on a quest from god himself to find the holy grail and nothing will stop them. Between them and the Holy Grail lies angry french, Killer rabbits, black knights, rope bridges, sorcerors, and more.
It's one of the funniest movies ever.
Watch it ASAP, you won't regret it.
Blazing Saddles
A fucking hilarious western comedy about this black man, Bart, who is sent to a western town as their new Sheriff. Needless to say, everyone hates him, being the racist bastards they are. So Bart then must save the town from the evil dude (Who's I can't remember the name) and his ploy to destroy the town.
Near the end of the movie it also features one of the hugest and most fucking hilarious breakings of the fourth wall ever.
Watch it ASAP.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
The single god-damn greatest western action movie of all time.
Un-like the other movies so far, it's NOT a comedy, but it's one of my favorite all-time movies.
It tells the story of, well, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, and their journey across the west in the midst of the Civil war in search of an enormous cache of 200,000 dollars in gold.
It's a fucking great movie.
Being a western though, it's long and there's relatively long periods with no talking.
You gotta really dedicate a good chunck of time to watching it if you're going to. It's nearly 3 hours long.
If that wasn't enough, the music is great, too!
It's a fucking great movie.
Watch it as soon as you can.
Airplane!
This movie is so hilarious!
It's just straight up jokes, puns, sarcasm, satire, and hilariousness the entire movie!
There's never a dull moment. Just get all you friends together, start this bad-boy up, and laugh your asses off.
Really, the plot isn't even important it's just so damn hilarious.
I guess I'll give you a run-down of the plot anyway though.
Well, they're all on an airplane (Duh) headed somewhere (I can't remember where) however a long the way, they all eat bad fish and both pilots get deeply ill. They then have to have an ex-army pilot attempt to land the plane.
Really, this is one of the most straight up funniest movies ever.
Watch this NOW.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Ahh... Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.
The story of Willy Wonka's magical Chocolate Factory and how he let a select few children in.
Willy Wonka himself seems to be a lunatic of a man who is completly mad.
This movie takes you through the magical world of Willy Wonka while he takes everytone through an incredible world that he crafted himself.
I don't care who you are, this movie is great.
Gene Wilder's acting in at (As Willy Wonka) is freaking fenominal.
This is just a damn FUN movie that anyone can enjoy.
