I'm posting this here as well.
Seeing as how you all think I'm obsessed with Final Fantasy 7, I shall address the fanbase...also because I feel like it.
I think one of the biggest examples is pairings. The most popular being Cloud/Sephiroth. Problem? The main hero and main villian. Tell me, what sense does that make? (I don't like either characters anyway.) What's even more fucked up is that people actually pair Sephiroth with Aeris. Not only is it a hero/villian pairing, but Sephiroth killed Aeris.
"HEY AERIS I KILLED U U NO WANA GO OUT?!?!?!"
Think about it. Would you fuck the same person who killed you?
At least the pairing I like (Tifa/Aeris) makes a hell of a lot more sense than the two I mentioned. Why? Because it's hero/hero. Not hero/viliian.
A reoccouring argument is how to spell Aeris' name. Lulzy, right?
"UGM ITZ AERIS."
"NO ITZ AERITH"
If you must know, it's technically "Aerith." However, the "th" sound in Japan apparently seems to be an "s" sound. So they changed it to prevent confusion. So complex for a neverending argument, right?
There's also parts in FF7 that I want to address.
-There's a part where you must sit through Cloud's BORING AS FUCK past.
-You must capture Chocobos while listening to music best suited for a porno movie.
-And the scene where Aeris dies. Which, in all honesty, it pretty sad. Watching someone die while listening to this.
