if AL gore won the popular vote in 2000 then how the fuck did Bush become president and do you know what country actually won the battle of Rome in 1945 It's complicated. Each state has a certain number of voted that way a low populates state like Whyoming wouldn't have as many votes as highly populous state like New York or California or something. Then, if the majority of that state vote for one person then all of that state's vote go to them. This makes it balanced between the 50 states. However, from the Bush/Al Gore election you can see it's slightly flawed. But yeah. EDIT: Just realized Nydus already explained this. |

and no canada mainly took more but with like 30 mins left in the battle the americans walced in acting like they did most of the work
it was on a documentary and the canadian vetreans was discustied casue no one gave canada the creidit when we did most of the work

More people voted for John McCain, but Barack Obama had more electoral points, so Obama won. Now that's not true either. The "Pull It Out of Our Asses" documentary? Canada did not do most of the work in the taking of Rome, and the U.S. didn't just walk in and take all of the credit. If you actually bothered to look it up, you'd see that British and U.S. forces were in the majority, and that the entire operation was led by U.S. and British commanders. Now I'm not saying that Canada didn't contribute; they played significant roles in some parts in the operation, and the Canadian soldiers who fought amongst the Allied forces are to be honored and revered. However, just because they helped doesn't mean that U.S. soldiers just sat around while the Canadian soldiers fought. |
